Inpatient care in general psychiatry is part of the General Psychiatry business area. Our care wards are located adjacent to the University Hospital in Örebro. On the wards, we have an extra focus on developing the content of care according to the Safewards method. Access to peer support and care places for user-led admissions are available on some of our wards. Collaboration with our Specialist Psychiatric Nursing Teams (SPOT) is an important part of our work. Together, we work with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the human being and adapt care interventions to the patient's needs and conditions. We work to promote the involvement of relatives in care.

As a new employee, you will receive introductory training.

The work consists of making an initial assessment of the patients who visit the psychiatric emergency department, triage, lead/co-ordinate the reception work, and together with the unit manager develop, implement, and create routines for patient and team work. Ensure that routines are followed and collaborate with the ward coordinator, on-call doctor, other healthcare, and collaboration partners. Be responsible for introducing new employees to the operations.

Specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry or a registered nurse who lacks a specialist nurse degree.

We are looking for you who enjoy working close to the patients and having the patient's best interests at heart. You should be confident in yourself and in your role as a nurse. You are interested in working with both care and treatment interventions for patients with severe psychiatric symptoms in the acute phase, as well as working together with the team to ensure good and safe care and treatment.

The work in the operations is based on great commitment, sensitivity, a positive basic attitude, and good collegial community, which places demands on cooperation skills and social competence. You have an ethical and professional approach in all meetings. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
